No. Your exhaust will just a lot more annoying on the highway when it drones.

If you are never in the car for more than an hour or two, then sure. Listen to an exhaust drone for a 5-9 hour trip. No thanks.

On my E' as a temp. setup until I do a custom exhaust,I had removed the huge ass factory muffler, then welded a straight pipe in it's place and just left the stock resonator intact...it actually sounds quite good. Most people have actually mistaken it for an aftermaket exhaust.icon_cool.gif You wanna hear it? icon_smile.gif

My question would be, why do you want to remove your resonator? Are you just wanting it to be louder? You're going to get more high frequency out the tailpipe if you remove it.

Don't remove it dude... There's guys on a VW forum that regretted doing it... If you want to sound meaner/louder, just save up for a proper exhaust

My dad took the resonator off our old 3800V6 Grand Prix, it was slightly louder than the Monte with the same motor. and exhaust set up.
