2009 SMS 570 Challenger
Price:$64,870
Configuration:Front Engine/RWD
Engine:Supercharged V8
Displacement:5700 cc
Horsepower:500 bhp @ ---- rpm
Torque:450 lb-ft @ ---- rpm

This is the newest production model for these cars. Apparently SMS is basically the same company as Saleen. SMS is the initials of the owner of saleen. So in terms it is a saleen challenger.

looks great except the bottom rear end where the exhaust comes out...just looks "cheap" imo....almost like it would be flimzy and rattle around

There's a LOT more skill then just gas and brake. A properly tuned automatic will be faster than a manual.

oh yeah i forgot paddle shifters.
tap, gas, tap, gas, tap, gas. break after 1/4 mile.
a properly tuned dual-clutch automatic will be, if a properly tuned single clutch automatic is faster than a manual then you would see it more often...

Go look at professional drag cars and tell me what they are. Yup, they're automatic. icon_cool.gif

Stall converter, change shift points, and an automatic will school a manual all day long (assuming same mods). If you don't believe me, then you don't know the material and need to do more research. I'm not arguing over this on here. You can PM me if you feel the need.

Drag cars with automatics are cool and all, but you really can't beat the sport behind driving a 6 speed. And personally, when I'm driving an auto, I don't want to have to invest three grand into it just to make it shift how I want it to.

Just to confirm PwrRngr's point. Drag racing is all about consistency. My cousin has a high 8 second car, and he runs consistently with a programmed automatic. If you can't run the same number every time, then you can't dial in and win. icon_wink.gif

I'm not saying I prefer auto over manual (I don't, I would rather have a manual). Auto faster in the 1320 is just the way things are. icon_neutral.gif
