I like the idea of doing the contest often. But I think maybe once a month would be a good time frame. Doing it too often might cause everyone to get burnt out.

Doing it monthly would also give more time to take pictures, and possibly allow for more unique topics.

The focal point of #9 is the icy branch. It's pretty sharp. I can see that. I would of liked to see the railing in focus, with a nice blurred background. Good picture though, whoever took it. Reminds me of this awful ice storm we had a few years ago when all the branches froze like that. Ice makes for great photographs.

I agree. A monthly contest then? Say photos are due on the end of the month, 28th, 30th, or 31st whatever month it happens to be.

Sounds perfect to me. They 28th sounds like a good date, because that would give the person whom does the poll and all plenty of time to set things up before the first of the month.

Sorry guys -- I went to NYC with some friends for the week and the computer was the last thing on my mind. The result link was the same as last time (private but Jeff knows the address) so I thought he would assume to check it again -- totally my fault for not telling him to.

And my photo (11) would have been better if it was in focus, I agree - was taken hand held at about midnight, so hard to control camera shake...

This next one though I plan on putting more effort into though, we'll see
