So a buddy of mine got pulled over for his purple hids and the cop was about to give him a ticket when he asked my friend if he had a system.
My friend was like.. uh yeah.. and the cop then tells him to turn it up.. (of course he was thinking that he was going to get all kinds of noise violations and what not..) then the cop tells him that he will be over in a few days because he has a system to put in.. but he wasnt going to be in his cop car. he then rips up the ticket and drives away. so my friend was pretty much like WTF... haha seriously..?

What's so funny about a Cop blackmailing a person,just to have them install a sound system?
 I'd tell that Cop,sorry I'm not interested,I'd rather take the ticket then be blackmailed by a Police officer.

was it for his personal vehicle or for the police vehicle? I dont know if I believe much truth in the story your friend told you....could be possible, but I would put it as highly unlikely. Def unlikely if the officer worked at my department.
We have vehicles that have been impounded and seized that have nice systems...currently have a Mercedes Kompressor, Acura MDX and Lexus all seized because people were smart enough to sell drugs out of them....Mercedes had $20 K in cash as well that went to the department budget

I would rather hook up a system rather than get a ticket...but I'm calling BS on this story...there is no cop out there that while on duty would do this...unless the girl he pulls over was extremely hot....and even then i doubt that a cop would put their job on the line over a system....but I'm not a cop so I don't have any personal experience with this.....

it's believable and yet not.. what if he has no electrical skills and didn't want to pay for someone to do it for him. so maybe your friend just happened the first person that he pulled over that had a "good" system in his car and figured he could help him out. kinda like "i scratch your back you scratch mine".. makes sense since hid's are illegal unless factory stock, and never seen a purple oem headlight so, atleast that part makes sense
