Ok so i need your help guys. Here's my problem
Thursday i did a compression test on my car for school 155psi in all four cylinders. Put ir all back together and drove it 15 miles home...sat all day in my garage till about noon on friday. Started it up to go to the bank and cash a check seemed fine...got to the bank got out to go in left it running, came back out and i could hear it was ideling very strange and sounded as if it was missing firing on a cylinder... Thought nothing of it and drove home and let it sit till sat.. Started it up everything was fine warmed it up then got on my way to my girlfriends house (2 hours away) about 20 min into my trip i attempted to accelerate around a semi, (NOTE- making 7lbs of boost on low and ~17 on high but always keep it on low) so i give it about 1/4 throttle and im not gaining any speed give it about 1/2 throttle and i start to sped up but it starts jerking a bit again almost like its misfiring a cylinder. So i backedoff and just crused all the way there. Got there my girlfriends dad said to pull it in the garage and we'll check it out. Checked the conectors-fine checked the sparkplugs-fine so buttoned it back up and decided to just baby it home and see how it acts on the way home. Never got on it on the way back to couldnt tell. Got in it again this morning and started it up and let it heat up and got on my way to class. It would drop idle everytime i hit the clutch and came to a stop almost stalling out. So my question is what do you guys think this is?? For The Lazyyy Problem: Making boost-no acceleration and jerky. Dropping idle when coming to a stop. Just sitting it sounds like its missing a cylinder. Thanks in advance guys. |

I have no idea how to fix this but I read it anyway. Lol. And just a little heads up, you should definitely put the for the lazy section first..........haha. I read the whole damn thing and then saw that........

You need 3 things for your engine to run correctly: compression, spark, and fuel. You checked compression so you can rule that out. You also said you checked the spark so you can rule that out as well. That leaves fuel. I would start by checking filter or check the pressure at the rails. Is it throwing the CEL?

No thats what i dont understand is its not triggering the CEL. I mean it should, if its enternial problem...hrmmmmm
Im thinking maybe i've blown a turbo gasket or maybe something inside the turbo perhaps? Side Note: Seems to be running crazy rich, least it smells like it |

Well since you just finished checking your compression, there is a chance you could have cracked/broke an old spark plug wire, which could cause it to misfire

I'd check the wires.. easy to damage the boots when you take them off.
Make sure you didn't mangle where they attach to the plug, or rip one and have it arcing next to the plug. Then make sure your fuel pump is working right. |

A vacuum leak could do the same thing.
You could be missing a cylinder. Do another compression test. |

I would look at the vacuum lines like corvettecrazy said. I had a similar problem in my dads Merc Cougar. Pretty much any time I came to a stop the car would almost die. Had my cousin look at it and he found it right away. One of the small vacuum lines had dry rotted and the vacuum was being created.

Perhaps an o2? I'm not too keen on 240's, or boosted ones for that matter but is the gas mileage the same? Other than that like everone else said, check your spark and fuel.
