I'm selling a pair of 6"x9" 3-Way Infinity KAPPA's(693.5I) for $60 shipped. They have never been installed or used; however, one of them is damaged. The rubber surround got ripped while attempting to install one of them. The rip could probably be fixed if sent in to Infinity or a local shop. The other speaker is in perfect condition.

The MSRP is $269.99 for these speakers. If interested, I'll provide pictures of the damaged speaker.

Ouch, how did that happen? =/ Whenever I've had a damaged speaker, where the black rubber is damaged, what usually works well is umm.. trying to remember the name =P It's this black like gasket sealer or something. Sort of like silicone. I've repaired a few bass subs with it before and such. When it dries, you can't tell it was even damaged. That obviously won't take out the dent you have there, but it will fix the rubber.

Other than that, I use these speakers in my car. They are absolutely awesome speakers. Out of curiousity, why are you selling them?

How did it happen: My father trying to drill in the screw while I was gone looking for a bit to drill a pilot hole.

Why I'm Selling: Becuase the holes in my car are 5"x7", but Crutchfield says that they are 6x9(always double check... icon_evil.gif ) and since my dad is the one that damaged these speakers, he is buying me different ones, so rather then have a large wedge box in the back of my car, I'll just buy the 5x7 KAPPA's so I can still see out the back.

I may try to fix them with the rubber stuff you mentioned, but the offer still stands - $60 shipped.

cut the holes in the trunk a little larger to fit the 6x9's. You can make some little self mods and fit them in =)

I actually tried to cut the holes a little bit bigger, or at least that wa the orginal plan - sadly, the holes are surrounded in metal with a large support beam one either side of it...and I'm assuming that support beams aren't the best thing in the world to be cutting holes in...
