Sweet, maybe this'll make more people realize how horrible HFCS tastes . icon_biggrin.gif

I'm close enough to the border that I can pick up sugar-sweetened sodas that are bottled in Mexico, but its all in bottles and you have to pay quite a bit . icon_cry.gif

I'd be interested in seeing how different it tastes. I certainly don't mind Mountain Dew as it is now.

Healthy from Coke....buahahahaha. Coke is one of the worse things you can do for your health. If you're looking for healthy, don't drink it at all.

I wonder how long they will continue to produce them w/ sugar.

Anybody care to guess why pop in America used to be made with sugar, then with corn syrup, and now with sugar again?

Cost. Plain and simple, for a long while, sugar COST more than corn syrup.

Why? High import tariffs on sugar. While some of it is grown in Florida, most of it is imported.

Meanwhile, corn is grown right here in the good old USA. So, it was cheaper.

.....until.....government started subsidizing ethanol production. Then, ethanol plants started popping up all over the place, and demand for corn skyrocketed. And then the PRICE of corn skyrocketed.

So, now, corn syrup is more expensive than sugar is.

But, hey, thank your congressman for the better tasting pop.....

I drink diet cola myself. Sam's Choice Diet Cola, from Wal-Mart. 2 liters for 78 cents. Two weeks ago, it was 67 cents. Two years ago, it was 48 cents.

A lot of you don't care about politics. This is one example of how it affects you, whether you care or not.

Next time you're bored look at Sobe's, they're list "naturally sweetend with sugar", yet they've been using sugar for a long time (as long as I remember looking at the lable). As said above the use of hfc is more than likely due to cost, I also think it's due to how well sugar mixed into liquids but I'm just guessing at that...

Healthier is a funny thing to bring up when drinking anything. Do I drink soda to be healthy? nope but I also don't drink alot of gatorade since it's not too much better. Do I drink soda knowing it's not great for me? Yea I do, I accept that what I consume will be my down fall at some rate or another.

I tried the regular pepsi, it was pretty good.

It has a different taste, but in almost a good way. It doesn't feel like your teeth are rotting out and it doesnt leave you wanting more..

If anything, try the new "all natural snapple".

Im addicted to the peach.
