If I don't feel like soldering, or I'm just in a hurry, I will use the butt connects. Probably the best way to do it is using solder. |

Butt connectors are perfectly reliable, and they're much easier to do when crawling around inside your car. |

Exactly,with most of my connections I actually prefer to use the non insulated butt connectors,and heat shrink.All of my exterior electrical connections get done the same,but on those I'll use dual wall style heat shrink.
I much prefer the non insulated butt connectors,because you can really crimp the hell out of them and after doing so,they will not come undone. |

I solder and heatshrink. I have my J standard certification. Everything soldered in a car is EASY.

Solder and heatshrink is the only way to go. But I do use butt connectors from time to time, especially if I know I'm going to be removing something quite a bit.
