Okay so I am having trouble what I want to get first and everything haha.
I'm ordering some lights for my interior and grille right now.. I've got a new sound system I am wanting to build and I am planning on making custom fiberglass enclosures for the 2 12's I'm looking at. Trouble is I have to learn how to fiberglass first ahha. Anyway.. The other thing I am wanting right now is a TRD exhaust which I was thinking of getting here in the next couple weeks. Also fogs at some point but I am hoping those will be a bday present so nothing out of my pocket. Wheels are another something I am wanting this summer if I can manage it.. Can't decide whether I want to just get new 17's to directly replace mine and use the same tires I have now(brand new), or just move up to 18's. Also want to get some lowering springs. Paint my calipers.. Ohh the list can go on. But my main question is whether or not an exhaust or sound system comes first. I'm content with my subs right now, so either mod is just out of wanting more. An exhaust will be only for sound purposes mainly, I am not intending on racing or anything and I will eventually get a cold air intake to go with it, but gains arent my concern. |

if gains aren't your concern you'll probably not want to spend hundreds of dollars for the sound of the engine. if anything get a new muffler instead of whole exhaust. Instead of the whole intake, all you'd need is a cone filter and a coupler for the engine. (both will change the sound of the car drastically)
if you're content with the subs i'd just say hold off, figure out what fiberglassing all needs (cause i know for a fact that it's not a cheap project. I'd go with lowering springs. |

Hmm. Well as far as the exhaust goes, I was just going to get the axleback from trd. I love the way they sound more than any other exhaust for tcs.
And the sound system, i dont plan on fiberglassing until it gets warmer cause id like to do it outside, and yeah its kinda cold xD But the lowering springs sounds like a good first step really. Hmm. Any other input guys? |

as far as fiberglass goes it depends on how complicated you want to go with it.
since you want to do 2 12s then cut out 2 12inch rings and then use some strips of wood attached to a piece of mdf to make the skeleton of the box to the way you want it. then after you do that then get fleece, then get your resin and mix it together with the hardner. do several coats of it, and if you want to make it stronger then get fiberglass matt then resin it. inside and out. if you want to paint it then bondo it, sand it, bondo somemore then alot more sanding lol |

yeah you'll probably want to wait till it's warm since it takes a long time to do so. as yellow just wen through basically all the steps.

I've been doing my research on the fiberglassing. What I am wanting to do is basically make something like these: http://www.lightav.com/car/boxes/bassforms/sciontcxb.html
Something that won't take up all of the hatch space if I can help it. Or I about wouldn't care to do something that would fit the subs and the amp rack all in one piece. That'd about be easier probably. but idk. I work at Lowes so getting the fiberglassing materials isn't hard, but we don't have the actual fiber matting. So I have to find some of that. And to the turbo, haha well if I had the money to do it I would |
