I want to hook up ALL of the following neons/LED lights. What would be best to switch and wire them up so they can all be run at once (I want to enter my car in a car show - what should I use to run the car from power instead of the car battery?)?
1. Underbody neons - 1 switch - currently running from cigarette lighter accessory 2. 8 inch under dash neon tubes (2) and 1 strobe light - 1 switch - currently running from cigarette lighter accessory 3. LED washer lights - uninstalled 4. lighted door sills - uninstalled 5. 12 inch neon tube - currently running from trunk power source inside trunk (plus I want to have 4 LED lights in each corner of the trunk pointing downwards) 6. 4 LED lights in hood pointing down (as explained above) - uninstalled 7. 1 strobe UNDER the car - uninstalled ANY help AND/OR wiring diagrams most greatful |

The most common electric switch is a relay. When using a relay with multiple poles you can switch mulltiple items, such as LED's and neon tubes. 12 volt DC relays can be found at Radio Shack with up to 4 poles (controlling up to 4 devices, or multiple devices using the same wires at the same location). You will still need a single switch to turn the relay on, but this can be a common sinle pole switch.

Alot of people also use a power supply from a home computer to power their neon & other lighting indoors or when a car battery is otherwise not available.

The other thing people do is get a battery charger, which is essentially a transformer 120VAC to 12VDC and charge the battery off that while at the show.
