flickering led issue...not the same as 96CD5Accord's issue

96CD5Accord has listed a flickering issue down below, I figured I'd start my own post since my problem is a little different.

When I install led's in my gauges or heating/air dials, whether they're #74 leds plugged into the stock bulb holders, or led strips from oznium...etc, they start to flicker after a few weeks. They start to flicker and then eventually don't light up at all.

Strangely enough, I have blue 3mm led's soldered to resistors installed in my window switches and they've stayed lit up great. They replaced the stock green 3mm.

What could be causing the flickering???

they're are so many causes its not even funny.

it could be too much power, but i doubt that.

the best i could think is the circuit is sharing the same ground as a high current device.
i had this happen with my front corner light, and the ABS pump kept taking the corner light LEDs out of service. Started flickering, and then quit.

The LED domelight that i built did the same thing with several of its leds. Even flickering dimly when the light was off. I was able to fix 2 of them by resoldering the connections but several would not stop.

I suspect that a proper voltage regulator or driver circuitry would prevent this but i never got that far and just put the stock bulb back in.

My domelight also fades out by pulsing 12v and longer and longer intervals instead of just shutting off so maybe this had something to do with it.

Thats odd my Accord's corner light is eating up LEDs as well. What did you do to remedy this problem? It seems like the passenger side is worse. At first I thought it was defective LEDs but now Im trying to pin this down.
