I bought 7 prewired 5mm blue LED's from this site and 2 of the superflux prewired. i want to put them on my fish tank, and was wondering what the best way is to wire them and which plugs to use. i was gonna put them in parallel, but the only AC adapters i have lying around are 9v. Is it possible to use one of those instead of the 12v?

Get a computer power supply and convert it for 12v use.

ok, thats what i thought. thank you for your help. my aquarium is 24 inches wide 15 inchs deep and 19 inches high, im just looking to give it a moonlight effect at night... the 2 superflux and 7 5mm should do the job running on the 9v adapter then??

yeah i stuck with the 9v, put the 2superflux on the outsides for a general glow, then 4 of the 5mm inside to shine in as beams of moonight

If you check that 9 volt adapter with a volt meter, I bet you find it puts out very close to 12 volts.

Each tank has eight 5mm LED on top and bottom. All 32 LED's are powered by a 9 volt transformer.
