i would go 4 ga... its safer and if you decide to step up to a bigger amp then you wont have to buy another wiring kit

1) Car Specific. you have to connect the wires from the car wire harness to the radio wire harness. 2) Fit you alpine? You mean alpine fit in it? It should if its a single din. 3) I would have chose a different wiring kit. Hope i can help! |

Wire is wire. You are fine.
See how it sounds. The only thing i would worry about is the rca wire. It not being insulated good enough to prevent electrical noise. |

I didnt say anything about buying a real **** expensive one, just one with better speaker wire and RCA Cables.
Is exactly what i was talking about, The RCA cables. |

4ga is def what you need, around 1500watts is when they a=start to recommend the 2ga kits. safety is worth the extra money.

If it was a real 1000w (continuous/RMS) then I'd think an 8ga kit would be too thin; but this is Sony we're talking about so I'm certain you're quoting their peak wattage .
That dash kit should work just fine with your '07 GTI . (As far as I can tell from the description) . 98% of stereos on the market are all "single din" size which is a industry standard for aftermarket stereos . Nearly all Alpine head units are single din size . Those head units that are not single din are nearly always double din . That kit appears to work with either . Bear in mind the wiring harness that appears to be included in the kit is going to plug into the stock harness that plugs directly into the back of your stock radio now . Another harness will come with your Alpine deck . You'll need to wire the two harnesses together to make a complete VW-Alpine adapter, with solder or crimp connectors . That is probably a super-cheap kit but for $10 even if the RCA's are crap and introduce some noise you can buy a better set of RCAs and probably still have gotten a deal overall . Their claimed rating of 2000W is crap, however . 2000W is too much for a 4ga wire and would certainly pop the provided 60A fuse well before you were pulling a true 2kW . Also.. knukonceptz ? Really ? kNuKonCePtZ ! How crazy and unique ! Look at the hip modern l33t spelling ! OMG ! Lord I hate it when people substitute perfectly good letters . (Although the product doesn't appear to be a bad buy, corv |
