The watch isn't that hard to read...
The hour's are on the left side (1-12) then just add up the minutes... Bottom row is 5 mins, 2nd row is 10 mins, 3rd is 15 mins, etc... |

You would get to the point where you just know the patterns. Just like you can quickly glance at an analog clock and know what time it is without looking at the numbers. |
