I fish literally every day that permits during the summer. I've had my license for two weeks and have yet to take one cast, though. Since I typically work nights a majority of my fishing is done after dark.

Love it. Everyone should get that feeling of reeling in a 5 lb bass.

I found this park here in Tulsa right on the River. Cliffs, rock climbing, bouldering rapelling and tons of great spots for fishing and campfires, best part is it's only 10 minutes from my apartment.

Cool summer story, pickerel lake MN gotta cabin on it and had 2 5-6 pound bass living in a nest right off the end of my dock. With friends help grabbed a net and some goggles and herded one inside the shallows (prolly 2 ft deep) under my dock and slid the net under the sand.. brought the net up right from under the bass and of course!!! the bass was too long for the width of the 1 hand net!! tail hit one end and head hit the other. bounced so hard it went out of the water a bit and swam away icon_sad.gif didnt get close to it since....

you need to get your butt down here and I'll take you creek fishing.
You have ultralight tackle? (4-6 lb line, and ultralight rod and reel?)

I went fishing saturday on Paradise lake and got skunked, and almost didn't make it back to the trailer (lake only allows electric trolling motors, and there was a ton of wind, battery was just about dead by the time we put it on the shore to go get the truck... it was a close one!

Nice, the largest Bass I've ever caught was a 3 pounder, that was a big honker of a fish. I figured it weighed about 10 pounds while I was fighting it. Reeling it in from about 30 feet, fighting back and forth it kept jumping out of the water like a dolphin having a seizure I loved that day.

where I fish you don't really need waders.
however if you ever get down this way definitely look into deer creek (elam campground off of hwy 32) or if you're really into fly fishing hat creek is amazing!

Shoreline fishing here in HI is great. Except that it's slowly starting to get "over fished" if you know what I mean... But I guess it doesn't matter once you dunk your line and grab an ice cold beer.
