The Orange Box

Has anyone played it? It's only $10 on Steam right now, and everyone says it's a great game... To be honest, I've never played any of the games (I know I know), and I'm just skeptical if I should buy it.

I guess I'll probably still buy it, just lookin for some more input and to notify anyone here if they didn't know about the deal

the half-life series is great, just got done playing it for like the 20th time, but this last time i found some HQ texture mods, which made the game seem new. haha

It's definitely worth it. The Half-Life games are the best I've played. The story just draws you in and the AI interaction makes it an awesome experience.

This is all download-only... so I have to ask... can you save the download to reinstall later? I don't want to have to redownload multiple GB worth of games every time I reformat my computer.

You have to re-download the game after you format. What games you purchased is stored on your Steam ID and you download them through Steam and they are installed to your hard drive.

Portal is an AMAZING game! Also, the Half Life series are great games. Not to mention the Empire mod for HL2 is a blast online.

Blah, I'll pass then. I'm irritated enough that L4D forced me to update when I tried to play it the other day... although I'm loving the new survival mode!

I hope I find a good deal on L4D soon... I passed up the $20 deal for it like a month ago and I'm pretty bummed out.... Or until I find a cheap copy for 360

I got it for $30 off amazon. Those deals tend to not last long though... if not for an email notify I would have missed it.

no, pc and 360 users can't play together.

The only games I know of that you can play pc and 360 users together (so far) are "Games for Windows live" which include Shadowrun and Halo 2, both the vista releases.
