PM me your name and address. I'll send them out tomorrow. Great ideas guys! Now you just have to get some pics of them. At this point, Tony will be the winner, with his sticker on a moving truck. |

I prefer to have no political affiliation with any party. In some areas I may lean more to the left than right, and vice versa. I would not call myself a moderate though. I take each situation on a case by case basis, arriving to my decisions through common sense and a good set of morals. Today's White House is corrupt with beaurocratic B.S. and politicing. I believe that the White House is a place for tactical decision making, foreign policy, and leadership through example. There are 535 politicians in Congress, more than enough to go around. The President shouldn't make it 536. In my eyes, the President's primary role is as the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Military. As a member of the Armed Forces, and with another 15 yrs of service, I feel that I will have the adequate experience to fill this billet. The President is also the American people's direct representative to the rest of the world. Therefore, he/she should embody everything that red-blooded, patriotic Americans stand for.

Well, that's a nice non-answer on the platform question. Seriously, you seem to be overlooking the largest part of the President's job, which is either signing bills into law, or vetoing them. Here's what should be an easy series of questions: What do you see the role of the government to be: protecting its citizens against the aggression of others, or protecting them from the negative consequences of their own bad decisions? Do you believe that moral matters NOT involving persons aggressing against each other should be regulated by law? Do you believe that government should "even the economic playing field" by ensuring that no one is too rich, or too poor? I'm not trying to bust your balls here, but I'd like to know what your intentions are. |

See, that's just it. A platform is essentially a group of promises that a candidate/party gives to the American people. Promises about changing this or changing that, bettering this or bettering that, etc., etc., etc. I think that everyone here can agree that not all promises can be kept. So rather than spouting off at the mouth about things that I may never accomplish, I'd rather have the people understand my decision making process, ideals, and view of the future. In this manner, I am able to accomplish those tasks that are within reason without giving anyone false hope.
From the common sense stand-point, it would be protecting its citizens against aggression. Responsible, law-abiding citizens must be expected to deal with the consequences of bad decisions. That's a simple virtue taught to children by their parents. There will always be "the big bad wolf" out there, with the intent to prey on the weak, naive "sheep." Therefore, it is the government's duty to protect these sheep, even if the means are somewhat similar to the wolf's.
No. Simply put, the government must enforce those certain human laws that protect our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is not the place of politicians to decide what is morally sound, or police officers to enforce divine rights. That should be left to the Big Guns upstairs.
Absolutely not. As most red-blooded Americans are taught at a young age, I too learned that hard work and dedication pay off in the end. If worth was spread evenly across the board, there would be no incentive to achieve anything more than average. Capitalism is built off the natural ebb and flow of the market. Failure by one company leads to success by another. Its a constant circle. One that requires very little tampering by an outside force.
Not a problem. Hope that helps. |

I wish someone else had taken a picture of this. On the other side of the explorer the cops are standing (there were 3 cop cars there, they were eating breakfast. I pulled up behind this one, popped my hood, and pretended to be working on my truck. I went into my truck grabbed the sticker, then very quickly stuck it to the truck, very sloppily i know. But it is ALL the way on. |

Winner of the Photo Contest has been announced in the first post of this thread. Grand prize was a $25 redemption code for the Oznium store. Thanks to all that participated. Here are a few stats from the last couple weeks...
110 stickers mailed out to 11 states. Texas received the most at 30 with Ohio a close second with 25. A google search for "lee bowden" has my twitter page as the fifth result. Searching "vote lee bowden" results in my twitter page first and myspace group third. Everyone's support has been more than a surprise. I will continue to mail out stickers, so if you are interested in spreading the word or just simply ran out, shoot me a message. I'm working on another contest for the month of june. Details will be coming in the next week. It is my goal to receive at least one percent of the votes in an election between now and 2024. Although I won't be eligible until 2024, having even one percent of the votes with my name written in is a huge accomplishment, and I believe will guarantee me the Presidency in 2024. Thank you again! |

T-Shirt Design Contest
Alright, its June and another contest is here. It's pretty self explanatory. Go to your favorite design-your-own-shirt website, make a campaign t-shirt design, post it on here, and I'll choose a winner! Easy as that! A few rules: Must incorporate: -My name (Lee Bowden) -The year 2024 -The motto from my new stickers, "From the Ranks to the White House" -Nothing obscene, racist, sexist, etc. (you get the idea) There are plenty of websites that you can utilize for this, so bonus points will go to the person that also finds the best deal (i.e. lowest price per shirt). The contest will run until Sunday, June 21st. Prizes for the winner will include a $50 gift card for Best Buy and a free t-shirt of your design! Also, I still have plenty of stickers and encourage you to keep on tagging. If you run out, just ask for more! Thanks everyone! -Lee- |

So what I have seen thus far as an observer... your encouraging public vandalism and the defacement of public and or state and government property through the use of stickers.
All and all good fun, but not the most or best political stand point to encourage younger voters to mar such property. heheh |

Stickers aren't permanent. Its much better than the millions of campaign signs that are stuck on public and private property without permission every year.

You can still be arrested for placing a sticker on local or state property. Misdemeanor here until there is $500 dollars with of damage then it is a felony ;)
You say MILLIONS of signs? Honestly, I ran with a local guy for the state of tn that was in my district... he had been speaker of the house in TN forever... A sign violation is serious business (4x8s) like $5k a pop... now yard signs fall under the category that during campaign times these can be placed on state or local property but cannot inhibit the view of drivers. So in turn your argument is this: It is ok to deface property because others do it too? |

Of course that argument will never technically hold up in court, but it is a daily fact. Let me ask you this for example, do you move at the same speed as other drivers when in traffic, even if it is above the posted speed limit? Chances are you do, just like many other drivers. Its the same premise... |
