RGB led with controller ... I have them in my cupholder that way
Remove the needles andif they are clear sand the orange off them and repaint them white

^^ Or if you want the needles clear, let them soak in finger-nail polish remover, or paint thinner.

*EDIT* watched the video. No idea. Id want mine more drastic changing though. Not just a tint of red. Id want it ALL red.

or even go from *white or green* to Yellow midway, to red

I would NEVER soak the needles they could /might melt with the solvent

looks like he is using a rpm sensitive switch to activate the color change ...

^^ *shrug* I read it on s10forum. Alot of people did it to theirs and they turned out fine.

Actually I'm betting more that there are multipul led's at the base of the needle and as it sweeps it moves over different led's thus chaning the color, notice how it doesn't stop having the blue but it get dimmer as it changes to red.
and here is video from the same person showing what I'm talking about:

ahh so you think that the led's are always on with the speedometer, just facing diff directions

that'd be smart, prob easier than filters

Ummm.....you do know that most every nail polish remover is acetone right?

It would dissolve most plastics if left to soak overnight.
