Theif Rant

got my car broken in to today at the newest and nicest mall in the phoenix area, at like 2 in the afternoon, broad daylight
**** up my dash kid and jacked my ipod and definitely went for my speaker amp sub amp and sub in the trunk. scratched up the deck a tiny bit but didnt get it
also **** up my passenger side weather stripping, seems like they knew what they were doing

waited like an hour and a half for the cops and forensic person to show up and finger print, not getting my hopes up though

glad my 300 dollar alarm did alot of good...

lol they wont finger print a car for a theft like that.

sucks ive had it happen too, just keep an eye out for your stuff on craigslist or local forums

be sure to file a report and take a copy to all the pawn shops around.

i was looking you can get an ipod for like $80 on craigslist if you want one. one like your old one.

they did finger print though.. alot

thats the wost part of it all, paying 300 for an alarm system designed to prevent theft, and you get it done in the middle of the day

Alarm systems mean nothing to professional car theives. they know how to defeat them all.

It sucks when it happens tho.....I had some jackasses try to prybar my trunk open. He got nothing other than 1500 dollars in damage to my car but my alarm didn't do ****.

His girlfriend should have kept her mouth shut and stopped bragging tho.....led me right back to him

Turn your system down like a mile away from where your going. People will hear it and follow your if they need money that bad.

i feel your pain. my old civic got broken into at my work in the middle of the day as well. we have to park in another company's parking lot which has constant business during the day and NO ONE saw anything. which is so ridiculous. its just amazing.

Put a train horn in your car and hook it to the alarm.. that's my plan

Not really...installers/people have been doing that for many years. I've always installed interior sirens on all my security installs.

yes we will the chance of recovery a latent print is slim with smash and grabs but we will get them occasionally and it helps.

Smash and grab and it happens a lot in broad daylight in high crowded areas because the average joe doesnt pay attention to people....someone probably saw them and thought they locked their keys inside

Hope you get your stuff back....always good to have all serial numbers as it makes it easier to get back and prove in court....check ebay and craigslist...your stuff will most likely end up there....oxycontin heads have learned how to use the internet

oh yeah i got the idea today to check the serial number on my ipod box that it came in and im gonna go check this craiglist add that was posted last night that looks like mine?
what should i do if it is mine?

Bring a friend... just incase **** goes down. Dont take your car! Bring your box and if it is it, tell him its not the one you thought it was and walk away, call the cops and go back, Now you have yoru box and police report listing the lost product and bingo! =)

i did bring a friend, did drive my moms car, and did bring my box hahah
wasnt mine though

contact the police and inform them...they will get in touch with the seller and attempt to ID the property. Usually when someone is caught and charged with PSP it opens up a can of worms on a lot of burglaries/car prowls and is a long investigation but worth it in the end.
