Ok instead of making multiple threads just gonna do this here. any input at ALL would be great.
heres a rundown and im trying to be thorough here i already bugged Focal damn near to death with all this. I'm a bored semi-broke college student who wants to be able to do it himself. i have no real car lighting knowledge. I've done soldering on my own dash and some simple install stuff but nothing involving fuses or wiring, hiding wires, w/e. SO please any help is great. Main Focus Grill Lighting R8 Light (see below) Foot Wells light Top of Trunk Light Switches Is all this possible? and can i do this my own? Simple visual version of what I'm asking When i click Unlock Car on my keychain- Dome, Grill, Footwheels i want to come on. Need to have R8 lights turn on with parking lights (the 1st click when you turn the lights on. 2nd click turns on mains.) Need to be able to turn on grill and footwells at will for showing off purposes. i would like to keep indoor lighing seperate from outdoor. so maybe two switches. and hopefully i can add on to these later. BELOW is the orginal post it still stands. So here is what i KNOW i want to use. 2 10" BLue PB bars in foot wheels (add 2 for the rears later) 2 10" Cool White For the upper and lower grill (or) one for grill one for engine bay (its filthy though) For R8 mod- 5 leds per siding. 8 White 2 Blue. One blue in the middle on each vent. I don't know how to tap into a fuse box. looking at the linear line extenders, this battery>fuse tapper thing Focal showed me. and maybe an add a fuse connector? And some spare fuses. i got electrical tape. The below is the orginal post. skip over most of it. the pic is in there but yea. Also if someone knows how i can get access to my grill on my scion that would be dope as well. I looked at it today like wtf?? THANK you to all that wish to help me. http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=227950&highlight= ok so i think the pics are down but the the TS's avatar is the finished product. Basically i want to be able to do it. i will have the dough and time next week. so i wanna get it done. but i have never EVER messed around with wiring. all the led things i have done have been plug ins. or a decent amount of soldering but already provided leads n grounds. so i dont know how ot wire the leds from that side panel to wherever it is that they would get power from. i would also run them to a seperate switch. so that if i want to add more lighting stuff i can run it to that switch rather than having everything snap on with the DRLs. Can any one help me out here? maybe with a video or if ur in upstate ny i'd gladly drive a lil ways to meet. Thanks *focal when im done with this im gonna mail u aspirin. Sounds like he used the Superflux 4 Chip LEDs
Those are the best way to do a custom project like this. The quality on them is top notch. I would use the Prewired Superflux 4 Chip LED's because they already have the power and ground wires coming from the LED You could also use our new Super Flexible Tri-Chip Ribbon Strips if you want a premade application: http://www.oznium.com/flexible-tri-chip-ribbon-leds You could even wire these to existing wiring in your car's running lights so that when you turn them on these come on. thanks! now as far as the wiring. i would take one wire to any exposed metal part in the car right. maybe just solder it to a bolt. but as far as power what do i do? i need it find power and then run it into a seperate switch (like the click ones you guys sell). its the connecting it safley to power-then switch part im having issues understanding.

Two ways to do it:
First off soldering to a bolt is not needed. you can get a ring connector...like a washer that lets you put the wire in it and crimp. or wrap around the screw and cinch it down. But what might be easier than putting a switch in is to wire it to your parking/running lights. You will need to find which wire is going to these lights. Splice into the wiring so that you use its existing power wire....you can even do the same for the existing ground wire on that circuit for simplicity. But yes you could use a switch and ground the LED on the screw as above mentioned. The power wire sequence will go.... Battery> Inline Fuse > Switch> LED D A N N Y |

im thinking disconnect battery. i dont have drls. its either on/off HI. but the lil turning signlas i think classify as turning signals since they can be on but the main lights off. just rotate the light pole. so disconnect and then find that wire. cut it. splice the new wires (theres gonna be a lot at least 5 leds will be going in those side plates) then splice the parking lights back together. reconnect battery. blow fuse. replace fuse. and enjoy. hows that sound?

what do u think if i did 8 whites and 2blue? it would cost a dollar more. but put that blue one in the middle of all the white ones and it would give off a very faint blueish look much like the 8k HIDs i plan to get. but its still subtle enough for ur average cop who is not lookin for **** to pass it over (my area is pretty lax in the middle of nowehre)

You just need to find the wire going into your turn signal lights that is on when they are on and not flashing unless you want them to, and wire the prewired superflux LED's into that wire...after drilling the holes and making sure to secure them with silicone then wire the lights into that wire and you pretty much are done...unless you want them to do something different than just turn on with the turn signals....Like you said about wiring them to a switch, just look around the how-to section for wiring them to a switch and getting power from the battery....everyone else pretty much covered everything.....
