You better hope that never jams in WOT. If you were driving a hondA, np... but WOT on that 'vette could get hairy!

yup, it's just that easy.

and as for the pedal jamming up, The double hinge is designed so the hinges won't lock. Worst case scenario, the Pot knob can be moved off of the throttle control simply by kicking the assembly to the left.... lol. So far i've driven with it on for 3 days and the operation is so smooth, I don't even know it's there.

Got the tips installed today. I had a LOT of errands to do so i didn't have time to completely install the LED glow....however I did manage to snap a few test shots.

Final test shots before complete mounting:

Not reverse lights. I call it the LVL (low visibility lighting) system. In heavy rain/fog, it can be difficult to see my tail lights. I installed these to keep from getting rear ended by idiots who do 80 in a torrential downpour.

Here is the original version that had only 8 LEDs, the new version has 16

Lighting installed and tested. The good news is the heatsinks work and the lights will work even with the tips at full temp.

the bad news is they're not that bright so i'm going to try one of the silicone encased LED strips with improved optics to get more output. Stay tuned.

How do you short out a potentiometer? If I remember your video correctly (can't see it at work) you had an analog pot which is just a variable resistor. How do you manage to short that out?

I wasn't getting any more thn 5.0v output from it at any given point so i was testing from the LED back to see if there was a partial short. Well anyway, I touched the tester probe to the output and ground and fused something in the Pot itself. Since then wherever i applied power and ran it, the insides turned orange hot and smoked. (looks linda cool, but stinks like hell)

The partial connection turned out to be a poor output connection on the rocker switch that sends power to that circuit. Re-soldered and it's now working fine.

So saturday, i had the car all detailed to take pics, then it freaking rained on my car for like 5 minutes....just enough to put water spots all over the damn thing.

luckly I got some quick shop-shots before taking it out. This is at about 50% power....or what they look like at idle.
