As much as I would like an new Oz shirt to replace my old one.... not with a TC on it. I don't own one, or a car for that matter, I drive a lowered SUV. Scion also is available in Canada. Other than having an ongoing issue with being classed every now and then with xB at certain shows, I actually like the scion brand, I just wouldn't wear a shirt on which you can easliy identify what vehicle it is when I don't drive one.

A local car club up here (905rides) did something similar in that they created 2 stickers, both with generic vehicles on them. One is a car, the other is a truck. Just an idea, but why not take the outline of a concept car which never went to production and using it, and not telling anyone what the car is? Just a thought, www.conceptcarz.com is a great source.

I suggested the outlines of a CTS (all angular / hard to tell, almost looks like an Infiniti) commercial for a more generic vehicle. Just outline of CTS in wind or something... I'm no artist though.

I do agree we need multiple versions of the shirt. Scion shirt will only cover 25%-30% of our target market, at best

We need a shirt with the duck on it, IMO the duck is the logo of the site. Why do we need to create a new logo with a car?

Stop ***** about the car.
When someone glances at the shirt there not gonna be like "oh look its a TC!" there gonna be looking at oznium.com.... which is the point of the shirt.

Think of it as the equivalent of a POS ford probe with a Type R logo on it. It's not important to you obviously, but it is and would be to others.

And yes, at shows/meets, someone will guess what the car is, and if you don't own/drive/ or even have the ability to buy a scion (they don't sell em here in the great white north), then sir... insta-a-douche!

truth of the matter is can't please everyone unfortunately.
if i do one car people will complain
another
others will complain

I chose teh tC because of our huge Scion market and parts we sell for it.
We are known and belong to I think 6-10 scion forums and are well known there.
Putting a Scion was a logical choice.
It is a generic enough vehicle that people will enjoy but also loved by our Scion community icon_smile.gif

----------
Have had little to no interest for the pink shirts so probably going to axe them and purchase the red blue and more green glow early in the week.

So probably 2-3 weeks MAX until new ones are in icon_smile.gif
thanks for the responses people

Not to be an ass, but why has my suggestion been completely ignored? Why is a car logo required? Ever since I first found out about oznium and joined the forum, I have known the logo/mascot to be the rubber duck. Why not put that on a shirt? IMO it seems like the wheel is trying to get reinvented.

If you went with the duck, you lose all complaints from anybody about what car is on the shirt.

I think we will do that. A few different shirt designs sounds like a good idea.

The duck though isn't our logo - it is trademarked by a toy company.

That's a really nice design, IMO. Simple and gets the point across.

Just get permission from the company to use it on some shirts. If a shirt was offered with the duck logo on it, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I've worn two of my three I ordered, have had ZERO people ask me anything about oznium OR about scion related anything, even my friends haven't said anything bout it being a TC...

It wouldn't be too hard to simply remove the outlines for the headlight and have it look less specific..
