I'm not posting to be rude, fyi. I've been buddies with Phil for awhile now, just trying to help. Feel free to remove my comments and prices so it doesn't effect sales.

I didn't want to say anything about price, but pork is right on with his info.

I worked in the screen printing industry for 7 years. Price will go down some with the next order, but not much. A majority of the price for printing is within the screen setup, thats why its better to print more at a time.

I can see the issue with not ordering more calenders s they are dated, but with t-shirts, they will never go out of style.

I got one? :facepalm:

Faux pas on the supplier on Oznium's part, we got less than desirable pricing on the first batch it seems. We'll find a better supplier in the future. icon_biggrin.gif

Yea, I think when someone criticizes a price, we need to see this as a blessing that they are even taking the time to be part of Oznium and offer an opinion, even if we don't like it.

FocalFury was responsible for the t-shirts and did a great job seeing it through. Korn criticizes saying its too high, and FocalFury freaks out. Instead, why not say, "you know what man, you're right, it is kinda high, I'll see if we can get it down lower".

In another thread, Kris launched a new Tri-chip LED strip, and I think TRogers complained about the price. His post ended up getting deleted. This is not how the Oznium forums should be.

You all know how much respect I have for everyone here icon_cool.gif

Sorry for those that i snapped at.
I let my pride get in the way and i just worked hard on these shirts and let me feelings get hurt if you will.
I've just had one of those days if you will where i let other things affect my mood.
Unfortunately this price will most likely not move until the re-order when we will be able to get a better deal as we will buy more than the 48 we bought this time.
thanks for understanding all ;)

figured i would chime in with my background and my dad's, i have been screen printing with my dad off and on for basically my whole life and my dad does it professionally for the last 30 years. I could easily do these for a lot less in my dad's basement lol or at his shop. Its easy as hell to print that shirt and yes those prices are high.

that is all

No worries, was just saying. I don't know anyone that does this anymore, I banked a few hundred bucks on my clothing company and ran with the money icon_smile.gif I should have kept it going, I would probably have a sweet toy collection by now if I kept it up.

Now that the price war is over, I'd like to chime in to say I LOVE the design, and if it was available on a white shirt, I'd buy one right away. I don't do black though.

Price is fine, most of my shirts cost $25. I might buy one, but the car on it isn't really something I want to rock. Looks good besides that though icon_smile.gif

Thats why I love this place. We talk, Oznium listens.... and then they take action to ensure that the people remain happy. Phils globetrotting and still keeping in touch which I think is just awesome and shows his dedication to everyones satisfaction.

Could the shirts be cheaper, of course.. everything can be cheaper. 50 shirts I dont think is too little, or too much its a good feeler number. If we like they can always order more and how many people will order.... no one can tell. But I highly doubt they will be able to send back the shirts left in the warehouse.

I think the shirts design are awesome and I would pick one up if the Cars image is removed. It would be able to edit the car to better match the customers car but I know that the price would be too high to even think about marketing.

Ive seen a few post on here where some members do or know someone who does screen printing. Maybe you should try to get ahold of Oznium and make a deal on making there shirts. You make money, they sell the shirts cheaper and make money and we all get to sport some cool cloths. Maybe then we will be able to edit shirt and glow colors at a cheaper rate better expanding the product line for the shirts which will only help sell more and give Oz more exposure. I would not even mind having to prepay for the shirt and wait a week or 2 to get it if it was closer to what I wanted... Some people may not want to wear a Shirt with Green glow if there car or truck is beaming out with some other color like blue or red... Not knocking your design Oznium just giving some input for future sales, im sure you have thought of most of these things, maybe another member of the forums can put you in touch with someone to make this happen.

When these shirts were in the design phase I also thought "Why a TC? wtf?" but then I thought about it, I'd wear one with a TC on it. It doesn't have to match my current car.

Maybe the car should have been an outline of a Porsche! It's sleek and short.

Yeah, way to let the scion people control what goes on. icon_biggrin.gif

kindschi, I have talked with different people at different times about getting the printing done, but that's about as far as things went.

Actually, back in the day I made some hooded sweatshirts for another forum member with phil's approval. I got one of the hoods and dock it all the time, because I love the design.

IMO, the next batch of shirts should have the duck as that is what I think of as the company logo.

150 Gildan Heavyweight T-shirts - Level 8

* Choose : Black(+1.00)
* Front : 3-Color Print(+2.45)
* Back : 3-Color Print(+2.45)

Unit Price $7.40 Total $1,110.00

Order was for 48
6.1oz cotton shirts, black - $1 more, which is typical
2Xs are $1.50 more each - which is typical
4 color front (underbase, green, gray, white)
4 color back (underbase, green, gray, white)
Screen charge (only for back) 25 x 4

Sorry, but if you can get cheaper shirts @ those specs, then do it. But will it be the same quality?
The guys Danny used do epic work, I've sent them a lot of complicated stuff over the years, including 8 colors on black and darks, and after tons of washing, none of the shirts have yet to peel or crack at all. Guys might be cheaper, but so is their quality.

These guys do contract work for a lot of local surf shops & a couple local surf brands, and know their stuff. They're more A/R than I am. I've seen them print stuff crazily detailed and complicated and it turns out epic, including discharge inks, etc.

Besides, I bet most of you who are complaining have paid more for shirts at any HIN or car show you've been too for 'souvenirs', as well as the shirts you wear on your back. I don't think you can get anything branded these days for less than $15, unless it's on the for sale rack. That's not including anything like Affliction and the like, either.

Sorry for the rambling, but I did the art, and thought I'd chime in. This is a business, not a democracy - I'm sure that if he'd just launched the shirts at $18.99 you'd ***** and moan, and he'd still sell out in a few days, esp. after hitting the Scion forums. ;)

There is no reason that you should have to pay for an underbase and white. That can be done at the same time.

Yes, I have paid more for shirts. But only when I can touch the shirt and see it up close to see what kind of quality I can get.

Also, I don't think anyone thought that the shirts wouldn't sale, some of use experienced in the business knew that the price seemed a little high.

UPDATE!!!!
With the amount of shirts sold already and the fact we haven't even told the Scion community about these yet. Oznium is going to get these shirts made in Red glow and Blue glow
Basically whatever is green replace with either blue or red.

A special pink shirt will also be developed on a ladies style shirt and will be a special order with a minimum quantity needed to be reached (think group buy) of 24

This is all forums combined not just here so I feel confident we can meet this icon_smile.gif

Hoping to have images of what the red, blue, and pink shirts will look like by the end of the week.

thanks all icon_smile.gif
---------
Special sized shirts will be available on a per basis and will need to be purchased when we make the re-order but I am happy to look into accomodating different size needs
