I think its too soon to do hoodies
We are thinking about getting a batch of 48 in the fall
Summertime people aren't looking for hoodies
But if enough people demand it I can see what I can do..
it may just be easier though for a nice buy in the fall

Go ahead and do it now. Gonna save on printing costs. You never know you might sale some earlier.

my only concern is that
A) I'd like to stick to 48 of each color in shirts for now
B)I'd like to have some of each color but I think it might work easier on a special order basis

my logic is that i'll sell more shirts than hoodies but maybe im wrong
i can make any of the 48 shirts hoodies
44 shirts 4 hoodies but then what size to get LOL

the sizing issue is why i feel it might be better to do a custom batch of 24 later.

but i dunno
still open to the idea

Even though I just got the black shirt I'd rock a white shirt with a simple Oz Logo on it also.

First online place I checked:

150 Gildan Heavyweight T-shirts - Level 8

* Choose : Black(+1.00)
* Front : 3-Color Print(+2.45)
* Back : 3-Color Print(+2.45)

Unit Price $7.40 Total $1,110.00

Order was for 48
6.1oz cotton shirts, black - $1 more, which is typical
2Xs are $1.50 more each - which is typical
4 color front (underbase, green, gray, white)
4 color back (underbase, green, gray, white)
Screen charge (only for back) 25 x 4

Sorry, but if you can get cheaper shirts @ those specs, then do it. But will it be the same quality?
The guys Danny used do epic work, I've sent them a lot of complicated stuff over the years, including 8 colors on black and darks, and after tons of washing, none of the shirts have yet to peel or crack at all. Guys might be cheaper, but so is their quality.

These guys do contract work for a lot of local surf shops & a couple local surf brands, and know their stuff. They're more A/R than I am. I've seen them print stuff crazily detailed and complicated and it turns out epic, including discharge inks, etc.

Besides, I bet most of you who are complaining have paid more for shirts at any HIN or car show you've been too for 'souvenirs', as well as the shirts you wear on your back. I don't think you can get anything branded these days for less than $15, unless it's on the for sale rack. That's not including anything like Affliction and the like, either.

Sorry for the rambling, but I did the art, and thought I'd chime in. This is a business, not a democracy - I'm sure that if he'd just launched the shirts at $18.99 you'd ***** and moan, and he'd still sell out in a few days, esp. after hitting the Scion forums. ;)

icon_rolleyes.gif

I have had over 4000 shirts printed, and I NEVER paid the kinda moneys they just paid for shirts. But you know it all, since you "designed" it. Gimme a break, its a damn car with some glow and the oz logo. You spend an entire 10 minutes on the design, and think you know everything about screen printing?

Blue has the most response everywhere :)

Im getting overwelmed cuz im going to make threads on all the scion forums but i dont know where i should post them for maximum exposure LOL

so many subsections and whatnot
haha

Here is the deal on pink.......
from what I understand 24 is my minimum for color change and for them to frankly take the time to do it.

I believe it is limited to the print not the shirt.
Example I could get 47 green t-shirts and 1 green hoody if i wanted to and that falls into the 48 catergory

I really want to make pink an option but if we're struggling we may offer another type of shirt to get pink up to 24
we'll see

Going to post this on around 5-7 scion sites which should continue to get lots of hits and as soon as pink fills up I'll place the order

That is the way it should be since the printing process really doesn't change, only the product you are printing on does.

I'm wearing one of mine right now and I'm happy even it I don't own a tc or have green glow icon_biggrin.gif
I still say you should look into how much glow in the dark would cost to add on, I keep looing down at my shirt while in dark rooms hoping the green would be glowing biglaugh.gif

As for the "too soon for hoodies" comment, honestly I just purchased a CBR hoodie, it's not winter but I'd rather have it around for when it does come and as of late the random weather (going from sunny and warm to cold n rainy in a day) a hoodie would be nice to have...
