Scion tc inferno v1

So I don't think I needed to put what kind of car but I have a problem. I installed and worked perfectly.....Back in the winter I decide to leave them on and a ice chunk broke the front one and I left it as is......Now I think from all the water getting in it may have shorted the ECU........With this being shorted would it also make the remote display not work ? I just wanted to know because I ordered a new tub and ECU just making sure I didnt need a new display also...Thanks
