Let me start out by saying I am "electronically challenged". I have a great looking '65 Chevy Imp SS with a very clean engine compartment......really sparkled with the LEDs from Oznium that were installed by someone else a couple of years back. I replaced my radiator and had to cut one of the wires to the LED display clusters. Now I was trying to reconnect and thot I could do that with a simple "quick release" male/female connector assemply....WRONG. There are two small wires....a red and black ...inside this main wire shield. When I tried to strip back the little red and black wires and connect to the other end....all was well and working. Then I accidently (stupidly) touched the red and black and all my other led lights went out....HELP. It was so cool, before I started messing with it. Is this an easy fix....? a fuse (where is that) or a transformer (where is that) that I need to reset or replace???? Please help out Stupid in Santa Clara.....I'd really aprrectiate any suggestions/help. icon_sad.gif

You blew a fuse. You're going to have to trace the wires back until you can find the fuse they are connected to. It's going to be a long process if you don't know how they're wired.

Where you cut the wire, trace that back toward the battery or fuse block, and find the fuse. It may be an in-line fuse like this...

Before replacing fuse, repair the cut wire with butt connectors or solder, etc. AND insulate them with heat shrink or electrical tape.

They are all on one circuit with one switch....I think when they were installed there was a transformer/fuse in a small white plastic box...must be hidden in engine compartment....looking for it now.

Here is a pretty good tutorial from start to finish on posting photos to a forum.

Resizing isn't needed but recommended. It will speed things up during your upload to photobucket and speed up initial thread load time. But after the photo loads, this forum will auto-shrink any photos over a certain resolution.
