Hi guys. I have a 2007 Scion TC and last july decided to replace my headlights with some 5000K HID's. My only problem is that the driverside don't fit. By don't fit I mean they don't sit flush in the headlight assembly. I tried everything from rotating the base all different directions. For some reason it lines up but doesn't depress or lock in. Right now they are taped in but I think I'm blinding other drivers what should I do? Also are the bulbs side specific, the only thing i have not tried was switching bulbs. Has anybody else have this problem? One side fits the other doesn't.

try swapping the rubber o-ring from the halogen to the hid bulb. I found this helped with some bulbs when I has issues getting them to seat all the way in to turn and lock.

thanks soo much Black DX! It worked! Now I have another question. Will I need to adjust the headlight levels or should they be alright? If I do, how do I do that? It doesn't show it in the manual

It's recommended that you re-adjust the headlights after swapping bulbs out of any sort, usually there is adjuster posts just behind the headlight, sometimes there will be a circle punched in the radiator support and there will be a post with one of various heads (phillips, flat head, torqs, or standard hexagon), other times there is a slot where a philips head screw driver can slide down to a crown like gear and by turning the screw driver it will raise or lower the headlight....

For better info/help with specific TC stuff I'd head over to ScionLife, it's got alot of good details on various things (from what I can see as a non scion owner) and should be helpful when others are drawing a blank.

One more question, does anybody know which screw raises the headlights? Is it the screw at the very top of the assembly, which is hard to get to, or is it the 8mm screw in back of the assembly with the washer that looks like a gear?

Pull the car in front of a garage door at night , turn on the lights and WATCH what happens when you turn the screws
