I recently installed an brand new inferno kit I have had sitting in a box for a couple of years.
I wired everything up and had to extend the wires for the rear tube as they were just not long enough.
Now that everything is plugged in, the rear tube does not work. No LEDs light up.
I have tried the tube in other spots and tubes in the rear spot so it is not the ECU but the tube.
I highly doubt it is my work with extending the tube as I have done it to others without issue.
I followed the line back and found no breaks. The tube itself does look kind of strange though.
There is a sort of film or fog on the top of it along where the board attachs to the plastic tube.
There doesn't appear to be any damage to the actual circuit board...

Anyone have any ideas what this might be from? Possible that I recieved a faulty tube in my kit?
If so, is it possible to just purchase a single 3foot replacement tube?

I think your problem would be extending the white wire.

Quick way to prove /disprove the wire is to desolder it from the "bad" tube and resolder it to a good tube if the good tube won't light the extension job is bad icon_wink.gif

I resoldered all the inferno wires in my car. That is for 10+ tubes. I dout that is the issue as all of the others work. Even if I were to mess up on the one, I would assume that at least one of the colors would light up. I am thinking the tube is the problem and has something to do with the fog present in the tube. Anyone have any idea as to what would go first to cause this? I am going to attempt to open it up today and try and find the problem.

Found the problem. For some reason the connector had a different order to the lines inside. When I plugged the unit in it must have shorted. Mystery solved. I figured, being flowlighting, they would all be the same.
