I just got my vinyl machine setup and i just read a thread about paypal not being good for taking payments but what other options are better that people can use credit/debit cards and checks?

Only other choice is to get a machine and take credit cards , but it will cost you $$$ until the business takes off paypal or cash

Determine what you want to charge for the product. At 3% (or whatever the paypal fee is) to that cost and set that as the price. If payed for in another form besides Paypal, offer a 3% convenience discount.

Technically you're not charging for the 3% Paypal fee so it's legal.

There are several different companies.. We used to use Authorize.net as our preferred method.

No, there's an iPhone app that lets you charge **** to a credit card. Saw it on a commercial.

Pretty sure it was an iPhone commercial, for AT&T. About some guy selling shoes and for every pair of shoes he sells he gives one away.

Kind of expensive.

Use propay.com -- I HIGHLY recommend them -- they've been awesome to me in the past.

There is an iPhone app called CCTerminal that does it (the one on the commercial, and linked above) and there is an actual Nextel card slider attachment for their phones.

I had my first phone at 12 or 13 years old, and my whole family used Nextels...so I was a Nextel customer for 10 or 11 years before getting my iPhone, I remember when the slider attachment came out. biglaugh.gif
