Has anyone else occasionally been tripped up by the lack of tech specs for some of the Oznium products ? I really feel like it would be a big improvement if the staff could standardize the tech specs feature and make sure its applied to all the products offered in the store .
Some products don't have a tech-specs tab, so you can't really compare them to products you might be viewing from other sellers . In my mind, each LED product should have a Technical Info tab like the very useful one displayed for the original 5mm LED's .

Current, brightness, Min/Typ/Max Voltage, Viewing Angle, and Wavelength . And for strips or products with many LEDs clearly show the length its purchased in on the Main Description page without having to read through the paragraphs of text description to figure out if a 1 qty is 12 inches, 10 inches, 20 inches, etc.. and how many LEDs per foot should be part of the Tech Specs as well, including (for RGB sources) whether they're tri-color LEDs or single color LEDs that are used for color blending . Physical dimensions are another piece of information that is often lacking, which is especially problematic considering automotive installs are frequently space-limited .

Many of the products here have great specs, don't get me wrong . But others don't, and there's no consistency to how the specs are displayed . Some have the manufacturer's schematic drawing or specs displayed, others don't . Some have facts embedded in the text descriptions, others don't . Some have wavelength but you can't see how they'd match with another product of the same color since that other product doesn't have wavelength listed . Some don't have intensity so you can't compare their value to other seller's that may be more or less expensive .

Most other online retailers offer almost no text descriptions at all . And fewer still offer the videos, Q&A, and action/customer shots that you display, which is great . But almost all of those sites do have dimensions and all the manufacturer's specs on display . Given the choice between a product description that's very engaging and aesthetically appealing, and one that is stark but highly informative, I tend to prefer the informative . But there's no reason Oznium couldn't (and shouldn't) offer both ! :D

Edit: Also each RGB source should list common positive or common negative .

I completely agree with you on many points. I/we appreciate your constructive criticism.

We were planning on doing a large overhaul in the next two weeks (I think it was like mid-July) on getting the information out and consistent. I'm sure Danny will chime in with some more info since he's heading that section up.

I agree, more consistency would be great, and I think it would help new products get off the ground better. Good to hear that the Oz crew is already on it!

Yes, I agree the tech specs and the type of LED used (in ribbon strips, etc) needs some improvement.
