First, that car should be getting more than 17mpg to start with. He's in need of a SERIOUS tune up if he's honestly getting that crappy mileage.
Second, he's improving gas mileage by 2mpg by removing some **** from his trunk....BS. Then another 2mpg by just changing his oil, air filter, and plugs/wires? BS. I'm betting the acetone just cleaned out his fuel system and that's why it improved his mileage. |

Acetone will DESTROY the rubber O rings ect on the fuel injectors ... Yes it may clean them but you'll have fuel leaking soon ...

I hope people dont actually try all of that.
Tire pressure, good plugs and wires, and a clean air filter are common sense stuff that everyone should do anyways. |

I soak injectors in seafoam to get water out of them ;) heheh acetone is realyl harsh... it will kill the orings over time.... test the theroy first by getting acetone and brushing it lightly over a plastic part... or an oring.... it will melt ;( Better off flushing a system with seafoam... acetone is ouch... why not do a 50/50 meth injection while yoru at it ? hehe do the poors mans meth with the blue bottle windhseilf cleaner and water hehe and make a spray noz on your intake ;) heh |

Yes Acetone is harsh, but it's being diuted with in the gasoline. So anyway it's not like you're trying to run full strength Acetone in your engine. Oh and it's been proven many times that this so called trick, doesn't work to increase your gas mileage.
