LEDs on Universal's new rollercoaster

The new Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit opening soon at Universal Orlando has LEDs outfitted on the trains for a pretty cool effect at night. It looks like they change from a scanning to strobing effect throughout the ride.

Interesting.... I'm actually going to Universal next saturday

Weak. Last year when I went to Universal they said it will be open for spring 2009. I went back in march and they said it was going to be open in 2 weeks. still not open!

The ride is supposed to be set to a song that you pick, and the lights and stuff are supposed to follow suit. Then afterwards, their new marketing scheme is to sell you a music video of your coaster ride, rather then the usual movie/pics.

Ya they've got 35 songs to choose from and then there are cameras mounted on the train as well as various spots around the track to make your "music video"

wow, that incline at the beginning looks like you're completely on your back going up the hill.

pretty cool though, looks like a short ride from the video though
