Soooo tired of stripping paint.
Only have the jambs and bumpers left though... then it's primer time.

You are the dude who built the roll down paint booth correct? At this point it seems to be all bundled up just catching dust? Kind of defeats the purpose right?

Probably, lol. Some ideas don't work as hoped. I've figured out that I think it'll restrict air flow too much after painting a few things without it and making a really nice haze in the garage even with a handful of fans going.

I don't want 3 layers of paint on the car.. just seems ghetto or something. Plus when I strip my stuff off it comes off no problem and leaves jagged edges. When the DA eats through the factory stuff it doesn't flake off or anything.. just seems like a better more stable surface so spray onto if I do it this way .

Primer turned out all tiger striped because the primer I was using was so thick and the gun just didn't want to shoot a decent wide pattern with it... it's all gotta get blocked anyways.

Okkkk. I've been busy, so I've only sanded down the primer. All the way to 800 grit, and thank goodness it's over. I've just gotta clean it up and shoot paint. I'm gonna order the paint this friday, and hopefully shoot the following friday or so...!! I already have my pearls in the mail for a little something special.

Ok. I've got some wetsanding to do. Me and clear don't work well. The positive part is that the clear layed out good (good enough for me). The bad part... I got a little heavy in some spots. Hmmmm, I think I can fix it.

Ack!!

I think he has a factory Buick embossed trunk liner, but I guess he hasn't reinstalled it yet. icon_confused.gif

Looks great Clutch. icon_cool.gif It looks like you have quite a bit of overspray on your exhaust tips though. Take care of that Mr. icon_lol.gif

It looks great in person.. except for where the pearl ran a bit on the blue (people told me it looks like lightning now.. sounds like a good excuse, lol).

I've got a fiberglass piece for the trunk with 6x9s and 7" TV, and also carpeting, but I'm thinking of just fiberglassing my piece onto the carpeting and making it all one big piece and painting it white.

The exhaust tips are just super dirty, haven't been cleaned since like July probably, hehe.

Just a question...is the spacing on your hood/headlights wrong?

It seems like the passenger side has a lot of extra space at the bottom at the headlight and the driver side has extra room on top? Maybe its the picture angle.

No, it's missing the foam under the bumper on that side, took it out when I pulled the bumper to paint and I think I might've thrown it away, lol.
