i dont think either one would be bright enough
i have the million color bulb its nice but definetly not bright enough to see everything in my room maybe if you had two of them in the room but one is not enough i think either way you go it will not produce enough light output unless you use more than one |

The RGB unit is CRAZY BRIGHT. Danny and/or Spencer had 3 in his hotel room once....that **** still has me messed up from how bright it is (and that was in November)
Go with the RGB Fixture. Good example of what it does.

Brightness: RGB by far.
Ease of install: Bulb, just goes in a normal light bulb. RGB requires 12v. Price: Can buy almost 2 bulbs for price of 1 RGB. You decide what works best! |

I'd go with this bad boy: http://www.oznium.com/rgb-fixture
And you might enjoy this remote control 110v switch if you have any lamps in the room you want to be able to control remotely: http://www.oznium.com/remote-ac-power |

Hey what's the deal with this RGB floods ? I was told they wouldn't work with an external RGB controller, but they seem to have a simple four-wire input . Why couldn't I just plug the four wires into an RGB controller ? What would happen ?
Also is it common neg or pos ? |

You really want nuts, go for a rgb undercar kit... I've got a V1 mounted in my room and it's tons bright, fun to mess with and fun to watch the different colors changing how posters and such look...

You can use almost any ac to 12volt dc power supplies, I'm using a 3amp 13.8volt supply from radio shack, you can use the simple brick inverter BLAZER linked, you can even use old PC power supplies...

yes i think the RGB would be excellent for a dorm room. by the the time you bought RGB, you would have to buy 3 or 4 million color bulbs to match the brightness. get a 12v adapter pugin and go wild with the RGB's

The V2 I had when I tested one tube compaired to the V1 was dramatic. The V2 is loads brighter period and with room illumination you don't need to worry about the wide cast as much as if used for underglow.
I'd say if you were going only with 6" units I'd say go for the V2 wheel well kit and add a few extra tubes, it'll get you the same thing and you get the ecu and the tubes with the package. |
