easiest way is to get a 2 way splitter and cut the the socket off , then hard wire it, plug that into it ... since goodness knows what's inside it /regulators ect

what about just wiring it so the i can use the momentary test button for changing the color and then have a switch for power.... could that be done..

since god knows what is inside it I'm not sure ... you can disassemble the plug and see whats inside if you can run the wires direct to it , but my ways FAR FAR easier

positive is the metal end at the point , negative is the side ////
there may be a fuse inside on the positive line

you would be better off attaching your wires to the wires coming off the circuit board with butt connectors.

Sure he could of done that.
Personally I would of removed the entire circuit board from that plastic housing and soldered the wires to the circuit board. Then I think I would of removed the l.e.d./buttons and soldered wires to them from the circuit board and custom remote mounted them somewhere on the dashboard. icon_cool.gif

Tat: I have to fuses one on the power coming from my fuse box and then my grounds are hooked to the cig lighter so its fused there also...

also I dont have a solder so thats out for me...
