I need to see what kind of amp would be needed to power 2 10" Memphis audio Power Reference series subs.

They are 250 RMS, single voice coil 4 ohm speakers.

Is there a sound difference in running subs in parallel as compared to separate?

Didn't think of that, just wondering. This isn't for me, a friend that looking to buy the subs and wants to know about getting an amp for them

Not really , sounds pretty identical betweenthe channels,they will seem to hit harder run in parrallel as both cones work in unison, and running the lower impedance
