my dome light has three switches.
on, off, and the thrid one is where the light responds to the door.
when the doors open the light stays on and when the door is closed the light turns off.
now here is the problem
when the door is open only ten of the 25 led bulbs turns on.
but when i have the bulb on fully on all 25 light up.
i brought the light to reposnd to the door if its open the light s on bright and when its closed the lights off.
there simply is no point if i have to manually turn the light on and off when it is supposed to respond to the door.
how do i solve this problem??
thank you shawn.

I'd check the voltage ... Use a voltmeter and verify the voltage is the same when using the door switch and the ON position of the switch ...
I'm betting you have negitive ground door switches that are coroded and they are causing less voltage across the light

Voltmeter is available everywhere , sears , harbor freight, radio shack ect ect ...

http://search.harborfreight.com/cpisearch/web/s...?keyword=voltmeter&Submit=Go

check the voltage across the dome light , first with the door switches , then with the switch in the "on" position ... I'm betting the door switch voltage will be lower , that might be causing the other leds to not light ... Next you need to check the door switches for corrosion/ bad connections

Did the stock bulb seem dimmer with the door option compared to the manual on?

On my Civic the door switches are grounds for the dome light for the on with door position, if I open the driver door and then the passenger the light will get a bit brighter with the passenger door or with it turned to the manual on position. The reason it does this is the driver door switch is worn out from being used loads more and so it's not flowing as much power as the other. I'd suggest checking the connection and/or replacing the door switches
