I'm talking about the inside door handles on the 4runner there is no space to fit anything between the handle and the panel

This would be an excellent situation to post a picture of said handle/panel so we can give you some suggestions. |

You'll want to drill the holes(s) from the top of the handle not from behind. Top shining down. Plus otherwise if you drilled from behind the LEDs would be ugly and directly visible. You'll want them hidden.

Thats my 4runner :)
I did it a while ago, but if I recall correctly, I might have used a sturdy wire cutter to snip a little of the door panel upholstery plastic for it to fit. But if you use this new method with the 3 LED / Ribbon Strip and flush mount, it wont take up any space at all! |

Drill 3 holes from the top of the door handle plastic, put the ribbon LED strip over the holes, the LEDs sit flush.
Anyone have a better idea how to explain this photo?

I think I get it but even if it sits flush will the door handle go back into the panel? cause the way I recall the space is very little to nothing. the door handle sits flsuh into the upholstery
