I'm going to be using a 4 channel amp, bridged, to power two channels (my front speakers). I'm wondering how I should hook up my RCA cables.
How to explain... on the amp there's inputs for channels 1234. I'm wanting to combine 1 and 2 into L, and 3 and 4 to R. If I just run one pair of cables from my headunit (the front outputs), and run the one to input 1, and the other to input 3, will I get the proper sound, or would I need to use Y adapters so all four inputs are plugged in on the amp? |

if you are bridging than you need to put signal to all four channels (use of a singe to double rca splitter is needed), otherwise you're still only using 2 channels of power/signal and defeating the point of bridging amp...

Plug all the inputs in just like normal. Bridge together channels 1&2 and channels 3&4.

Okay, so I do need Y adapters (I don't want to run off the rear inputs as that would make the headunit controls odd). Thanks!
RTFM isn't an option on this amp... it's not even listed on the manufacturer website anymore, it's so old. |
