Hey everyone. I have an 2000 ranger I'm highly considering installing some running lights along the side of my truck under the doors where there is this little lip under the cab(not sure what its called).
I would want to go with an amber or orange for legality reeasons. The plan is to attach them facing sideways or outwards in hopes of the leds being visible to other drivers unlike most on here that are using leds for underglows. Each side measures 53 inches long. Problem is I have to no idea what product to get from oznium to accomplish this. Any suggestions? I'm also doing this on a budget and so far I have been considering Beefy strips, flexible strips, or two Piranha Bars per side. I'm leaning towards the beefy strips so far but I'm concerned with two things. First is will they be bright enough for my application? Then secondly is the yellow close enough to amber? |

Beefy strips would be the best bet of those listed

Thanks for the response :)
I also have to update that I've measured the width and I need something 3/4 " or smaller. Anyone know what the width is on the beefys? |

i'd use these.
http://www.oznium.com/thin-waterproof-ribbon Just stick em up there, and wire them in. AND they are waterproof and low profile EDIT: and from what I've seen beefy's are pretty much like underglow tubes in size, just flexible. and underglow tubes are about an inch wide. |

hrm so its down to the beefys or those waterproof ribbons. Still cant decide haha. Well I'll think it over the next few days.. ;)
Basically my budget is around $100 so I would have to get the 4' thin ribbons if i went that route which wont quite cover the full 53" length that the beefys will. Not to bad though as its only a 5" difference. Also there doesn't seem to be any pictures of the ribons installed yet. Anyone know of some especially in yellow? |

The LED's will be very bright pointed outwards like that, not sure that you will be able to use them while driving regardless of color. No yellow pictures, but here are some red in the back of my truck...
I would guess the yellow are brighter than the red. Green on trailer...
