Pretty sure in any state anything but WHITE on your license plate is illegal.
I know green is, as they are for "Ambulance use only" |

That circuit is as simple as 1 relay. White to pin 85a and green to pin 85. In Indiana, the light must be white for it to be legal. |

equipment violation could be written as a moving violation infraction if the vehicle is in motion...would be your standard ticket for your state...Wa is $124
and green is usually reserved for off duty Fire personnel, I would stick with white...but what would I know |

it acually wasent that simple cause i had to make it so when he turned on his factory headlight switch the white light turned on like factory but when the switch was in the on position it was green no matter if his factory lights were on or off |

So you pretty much just ran the Power for the white lights through the "off" side of the switch. so when the switch was off the current was going to the white leds.
Then when it was in the "on" position it interupted the power to the whites turning the green on...yes? |

not exactly cause then the white would always be on
ill try to explain it but please bare with me u need 2 relays 5 pin relays u hook the coils of the relays up in paralell from the aftermarket switch you connect both of the common contacts (30) togther on relay #1 the NC contact (87A) goes to the stock + wire for the LP on relay # 2 the NC contact (87A) goes to the white light + wire on relay # 1 the NO contact (87) goes to the + wire from a fuse box or battery on relay # 2 the NO contact (87) goes to the green light + wire and then ground the leds and relays and power your switch i hope this makes sence feel free to ask questions |

Why not 1 relay power to contact , NC feeds White, NO feeds Green ...
Then Ground Relay and feed the switch into the coil , Flip switch , energizes relay whites turn off greens turn on ... Turn off switch and the whites return |

so why not just wire the greens to a power wire and switch, and leave the other ones connected to the headlight switch. would seem so much easier.

if u just wire the green to a switch u have to have the headlights off or they would both be on and it would not look right
