Hey Everyone,
This is not my first time messing with **** in my Z, but here is some pics on my hardwire V1 install for everyone to look at :)
^ Tapped into my fuse box, you can see the V1 hardwire unit, and the V1 plugged in. V1 is grounded to the steering column (used a ring terminal and a second nut)
^ Tapped into the power mirror 10AMP fuse using a add-a-circuit fuse
^ Pic of the install done, with the V1 mounted on the rear view mirror via a BlendMount. Tell me what you think! Thanks, Scott |

I hardwired my V1 into my fuse box so it turns on / off with the car, and there is no messy wire hanging down Also installed a BlendMount on my rear view to mount the V1 onto |

Ok, gotcha. Not sure what you mean about no messy wire hanging down though. Not really sure why you have it double fused though. No need for the inline fuse after the fuse coming out of the fusebox.
Also, I'm not sure about the blend mount, but I take it to mean you installed the display somewhere near the mirror. Now we just need some pics of the glow under the car. |

Ah yeah, the fuse was already installed by V1, and i just let it be there, didn't feel like messing around with it. And i meant the stupid coil wire that hangs down into the cig lighter. Yeah the BendMount is pretty much a hanger for the V1 on rear view mirror
And no glow as of yet, just got the car |

I just figured that out with his picture that said V1. No wonder I was so lost on things. |

I read "V1 hardwire" and read that as Valentine 1 hardwire... since you kinda have to hardwire a V1 undercar kit...
Looks good, been taking myself in and out of buying a Valentine 1, I love what they do but I'm a cheap a$$ at points... I like the Blend mount, too bad my civic's mirror not only mounts differently but mine is also Carbon Fiber and has a different arm as well lol... So now the obvious question WHERE THE HELL ARE THE PICS OF THE CAR?!?! |

Really? I think it's only DC and Virgina at the moment that radar detectors are illegal. I'm pretty sure Laser jammers are actually legal in most states too. |

for anyone looking for a good radar detector, the V1 is one of the best, i think you did one helll of a good job on that install, i hate when people around here just have them sitting on there dash. i also did a hard wire on mine, i have the beltronics remote mount and the results are so nice when there done right
the one i have and the finished install.
but yours looks really nice for having nowhere to mount it. now show us more pics |

I've got both a V1 and an Escort 9700 I like the Escort FAR better as it has GPS and you can store falses and it will ignore them ...

Illegal in Washington State and numerous other states....if you have one, about 85% of Officer's will write you a ticket if they caught you speeding because you have one. With the Valentine 1's they are also illegal and can be removed from the vehicle. |

Not trying to be a ****,but I actually frequent quite a few radar detector forums and I've never heard that. http://guysoflidar.com/faq.html#1 http://www.afn.org/~afn09444/scanlaws/radar4.html |

This is all too familiar, I know someone with a Z who talked about installing the V1, and has a garage door that looks very similar to that in the photo. Oh wait, and his name is Scott too.

I saw that one too,but it says and other states that prohibit the use of radar detectors are the following: Which by just glancing at that list,it's obviously not correct. |
