Alright I just bouht an HID kit and installed them into the car. I had also bought projector headlamps as well. The problem I am having is when the passanger side headlight is aimed in a certain way, this awful buzzing noise keeps showing up and when i move the headlight lense, it seems to go away. WTF is going on? Also sometimes my high beams dont want to work even when everything is connected correctly. I looked for fuses for the headlights so that I can put in a larger fuse but I cant seem to find out where te fuses go. I see spots for them in the fuse panel but there are no prongs in there for a fuse. Im not sure what I have to do but im getting that bussing noise alot and the lights keep flickering. I spent a better part or 2 weeks trying to figure it out and I just dont know what I am supposed to do or add to the car. Also is there a special way that the bulbs have to face inside the housing so that they are properly aimed? Things just arent going well for me at the moment =( Please help anyone!

Check your wires make sure nothing is grounding out. I know when I had projectors in my s10 the aftermarket housings made the bulbs sit farther back in the headlight housing area. And they rubbed against a metal support and grounded out. Eventually blowing both my bulbs and ballasts.

DO NOT CHANGE THE FUSE SIZE!!!!!! I don't know why people all over the internet think if something electrical doesn't work then the fix is to install a larger fuse. THAT'S A TERRIBLE IDEA!! If you don't really know what you're doing (and you obviously don't) then don't go screwing around w/ your stock fuses and wiring. You are going to start a fire in your car by doing this. The fuse is designed for the stock wire size. Changing the fuse size will allow too much current and can start a fire in your car. |
