Ive Noticed two new things that I thought were illegal that automakers are putting on cars strait from the assembly line now.

1) 2010 Camaro's Halo headlights. From what ive seen there all Blue, which from what ive read is 100% not legal.

2)2010 Mustang Sequential taillights. I know some older Ford Mustangs and Gran Torino's had them stock but I thought they were outlawed? Ive even noticed them on alot of new Firetrucks and Ambulances but there pretty much exempt from any laws because whos gonna pull over a firetruck or ambulance? Might as well be on a tank. But on the Ford website its an available option. http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=Feature3

I've seen the sequential lights on ambulances and the new mustangs in person- they're pretty cool. Never notices the new camaro headlights being blue tho- I would think thats more breaking-the-rules than the tail lights.

From what I've seen the Camaro's halo's aren't blue there white. They may have a hint of blue, but most def are white.

Sequential lights are pimp. Don't know why they'd be outlawed

Hey guys, I've recently seen this on one of Radioflyers posts as well and it sounded like he talked to someone from GM and He posted a pic of the 2010 Camaro and the Halo rings were red. I also have the pic as my desktop background

That was just a concept car. You can't choose red halos on the production car.

I have sequentials in my tails and never been hassled ... And I'm using LED's iin a >>>>> patern that flash towards the turn ...
And the Halos are definately white with a slight blueish tint .... (Typical "white" LED)

I'm sure you can take them apart and swap in red LED's to get the concept cars halo's then get hassled by the cops

sequentials are leagl...its a distinct brake light that is visible from over 50 feet of the rear of the vehicle...they just simply light up a little different than most brake lights.

the halo's are white on the camaro

I was gonna get sequentials on my 85 camaro but decided against it after a friend from the camaro car club got a ticket for it. Ticket said something like "illegally modified his rear turn signals in a matter that both distracts and confuses other drivers". And he bought all red taillights just to do it (since the camaro came stock with amber rear turn signals).

Ive seen 3 camaro's with Halos and to me they had a blue tint to them.

^^Yeah,I think that in most States,if they're not stock sequential tail lights, than they are usually illegal. They say it's because the lights are considered to be moving and moving lights are most of the time illegal. icon_confused.gif
