I will soon be purchasing a 1996 Chevy Ext. cab and was hoping that someone knew if you can disable the daytime running lights in the low beams. I will be getting a new set of headlights and turn signals and don't want the DRL's at all. If someone could help or point me toward someone who knows, it would be appreciated.

Worked on my 96 silverado.

Are you sure they are the same as the low beams?

I'm sure you can find a site specific to your vehicle or you can just google for your answer.

For my car (2003 Sunfire) I had to bypass a wire with another to short the circuit and make the car think the DRL's are on but they really aren't.

I know another guy with a newer civic whom only had to do as sick said and pull the fuse.

I pulled the fuse out in mine.
the DRL's just put a lower power to the low beams, making them visable but not "on" during the day.

OHH ok thanks a lot guys. I didn't know if there was a fuse for them or not. And yes the DRL's are the low beams with a lower voltage than normal.
