Got a band together and wanting to make my own lighting. I have seen it done before but cant find anything on the inet.

I want to make normal household light bulbs flash and strobe. Somethere where I can wire 8-10 bulbs up then make them all do the same pattern.

Thanks

Normal household bulbs flashed at high rate = Burnt out household bulbs soon there after

Craigslist it up. DJs sell stuff like this all the time. They have sound activated and all kinds of stuff. Check it out.

How fast do you mean to strobe them ? I've never seen a normal incandescent bulb used as strobe light because they take so long to fade out that to switch them on and off and on rapidly would just like a light bulb that stays on with maybe a little flicker, right ?
I mean, that's the idea for AC after all, but what am I missing ?

I have seen some DIY projects to do similar online.

I have also used little screw in disks that will flash bulbs at a random rate, but none of them will be sync'd.

Sounds like a perfect application for some serious LED lighting.

Gotta do it on the budget tho. The wife said any money I put in has to be minimal until we start making serious cash from the music (which is unlikely)

If I can work a led project for cheap then ill go that route but whoknows.

Also hows it going everyone lots is going on with me. Got married, expecting our second child any day now. (A daughter)
