I was reading this topic as it pertains to my planned install in my Tacoma.

The Dome light turns on gradually when the door is opened, meaning that is goes from dim to bright in the space of 3 seconds. Will this product work?

I realize that the voltage will need to be at full for the LED module to light up so there will no longer be a dimming effect. Is there any danger to the LED's with the voltage being applied this way?

My second part of the project is to install foot well lighting off of this circuit. Is there anything wrong with operating the LED's off of a relay connected to the circuit?

LEDs can handle voltage just fine. Cathodes and NOT handle the dimming circuit.

I've had LED's on my dimmimg domes for 3+ years not a problem ...
blew 6 sets of cathodes in a few months before I found the info that they won't take dimming
