Perhaps the new series would have done better with KITT as a vette:

This is just one of 15 patterns and 5 speed levels that can be adjusted with a wireless remotee. I like this one the most.
I tapped the power from the foglight harness i no longer use. This way the scanner lights come on with the FOB unlock, lock and alarm.

I'm currious as well, I'd looked at them and been unsure of the quality...

Lights consist of a single row of Superflux LEDs. I believe there are 40 LEDs per side in 8 groups. The kit is designed to be plug and play, but i had to cut wires and do some soldering to get it to fit where I wanted it. The remote is freaking cool. A keychain stylf 4-button with telscoping antenna. Remote functions include:

- off/on
- Speed control
- Pattern change
- Demo (all patterns)

After doing a little more reserach on the 2008 Knight rider scanner, I may install a Lexan light diffuser shield in front of the LEDs to make them apprear more "organic"

I also have a hunch that if i diffuse the light enough, it MIGHT make it legal for road use if I slow down the pattern enough.....now this doesnt' mean I won't be getting pulled over...lol

I'm surprised at how cheap they are! Does the one remote control both sets?
