Had never driven stick before, so I decided to take out this Elise and learn. Picked it up pretty quick in just 2 days. One of the best handling cars in the world.

Once I get better on stick, I want to take F430's and Gallardo's out on the track for real performance driving. Mmmm

Played with this amazing DB9 for a couple days. It felt like a combination of James Bond / Entourage. Here's some random pics driving down to Monterey for lunch.

V12 450 HP, 0-60 in around 4.7 seconds

They are from a shared car club / rental. Pay in for points and then you can take out different cars for different points depending on the type.

I'd seriously try to lease one of these DB9's full time as a daily driver if I stayed in one place for more than a few weeks.

Just imagine: brand new DBS Volante with custom red exterior, white leather interior, and rottweiler riding shot gun.

Very cool! Phil I can't believe you're just learning to drive a manual transmission vehicle. icon_eek.gif Will your next vehicle be a manual? icon_smile.gif

+1 Crazy choice of vehicle for learning to drive a standard. I had practiced before on a friends mustang but one of the first times I drove a standard was driving 2hours home after picking up my 350z. Killed it twice and had a shaky clutch foot the entire drive home.

I googled that and found lighter ones but still you would need like 3 guys who can lift 400 pounds.

You would need 3 BIG guys to do that. Not only is that a decent amount of weight for 3 guys, finding a place to grip it is going to be akward.

It's all about the squat. I could squat 650lbs before I got hurt.

But that's w/ a bar designed to be picked up that way. Where are you going to grab that car that keeps your back nice and straight like that.

I know, I know. biglaugh.gif But you get three or four guys that can squat 600+ and you have it up in the air in no time. At least one side of it ;)

We actually used to move a kids geo metro around the parking lot all the time. (Whole football team, so it wasn't hard)

I don't know about you guys, but if I owned an Elise I certainly wouldn't want a bunch of Dudes trying to lift it from areas that a car was not designed to be lifted from. icon_confused.gif

We stuck the weight bars under the car and had 4 dudes lift and carry a TR7 and park it on the bleachers before a pep rally ... icon_lol.gif Should have seen the teachers face when she walked in and saw her car parked at the top of the bleachers icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_surprised.gif biglaugh.gif
