Can I use 12,000k ballast with 8,000 k bulbs? |

well it might be a stupid question but i currently have 12,k hid kit and was wondering would the same ballast work for a lesser out put bulb.could it blow out the bulb or does it not matter.

The colortemp is the filiment and type of gas in the bulb ///
be sure the wattage is the same |
